ok i am having some big problems. my car was fine last night then today when i went to start it i runs like poop. it doesnt shift even at 5000rpms but if i let off the gas it shifts. i have a 2002 3.4L V6. i just hit 50000 miles. Someone please help me. i think it is a tranny problem issed:
Like electrical problems, i.e. guages acting goofy, intrument cluster lights and needles going wacky. Or is it just the shifting problem?
When I got water in my motor and my throttle position sensor went bad the car wouldn't shift/shifted very erraticly. Also I had the alternator go bad and this also caused shifting problems as the tranny is electronically controlled.
Are you throwing any warning lights? If so fin an autozone or advance auto and go get a free code scan.
it sounds like a sensor problem.. more than likely the MAF sensor. When my MAF wire harness broke off the main 12 volt wire to it.. the car misfired, hard shifted.. etc.

^^ I agree...or MAF...once I took the clip of the MAF and trusted a friend to replace the clip while I put the front wheel on and he bent a prong and the thing ran like 1000 RPMs over its normal. No biggie I just rebent the prong back when i fianlly found it to be that.
