Spoiler Removal?
I was just curious if theres any glue or a sealant holding the spoiler to the trunklid? Is it just a gasket? I want to pull my spoiler off just to see how it would look without it, but I'm not going to if I need to re-seal the spoiler to the trunk.
Thanks!

there is some double sided foam holding it down and it helps to keep the water out too.

OK! I'll probably hold off removing it then until I do a few other things. Thanks!

Do you know what i would need to do to make the trunk lid solid if i took the spoiler off? Where i live every alero has the spoiler, i don't like that i look the same as them, and i personally think it looks better without the spoiler.

I would look for one at a junk yard that didnt have a spoiler even if its not the right color....trade them for yours. Then take the new one to get painted. It will be cheaper than having someone weld the holes in and then paint it.
painting it will run u around 200

there's plenty of orange peel from the factory...but you'd have to be really good at painting in general to get it to match the factory peel.
IMO, if you can afford it (in time and money) just get the whole trunk lid done at once instead of a paint-patch job.

theres 2 bolts holdin it down with double sided 3M tape, I just used a flat flat screw driver to pry it off. I used my nail and some goo-gone to get the rest of it off.

i understand there is alot of orange peel from teh factory...and its almost impossible to match factory orage peel, i should know i work in a body shop. But i was just sayin why spray it with a spray can and make it look worse than using a gun.
But i agree on buying a new trunk lid, would be much easier to do.
