spark plug gap

ive searched the forum, my haines manual and owners manual, and havent found what/if i need to gap new plugs before i put them in. i replaced whatever was in there with acdelco plugs a couple months ago, but didnt gap them then. its always run a little rough, and i figured incorrectly gapped plugs might be a cause of this.
