Aquapel Windshield
So I had my windshield coated with Aquapel yesterday. The guy at the body shop tried telling me how great it is and I didn't quite believe him till I drove around today. I have to say it's really nice for visibility at night and the sleet of Saskatoon.
The water just forms beads on the windshield and then as your driving it stays in its shape and just slides right off.

Yeah it's been brutal. We had a mini blizzard the day I got the aquapel put on. You sure see alot of accidents and cars in the ditch.
Although to be honest, I really only got the Aquapel put on because I had a coupon to get it for free. But now that I have it I think I'll put it on again for next winter.

That is pretty nasty man. I know the other night I was driving down attridge and the snow banks were so high in the middle I couldn't see on the other side. I whip around the corner and I was greated by 3 police cars and a tow truck pulling these two totalled chevy's out. Actually I took a picture of it with on my cell phone so I'll post the picture. Sorry for the poor quality.
I hadn't really noticed the aquapel in the sunlight. But i'll keep my eyes open for that. I haven't really had any sunlight to drive in yet to compare.

some people think they are invincable and speed on ice and snow. people in 4x4's are bad for that. some times i wonder how cars end up in the places that they do (on top of four foot snow banks for example). on the ring road some guy lots control, drove though the center meadian and hit an on coming car. this caused a five car pile-up.

It's another version of RAIN-X. Been using R-X on my cars for almost 20 years. Cheaper than buying new wiper blades and more effective, too.

SUV drivers are definitely the worst. Alot of people don't understand having 4x4 doesn't help your stopping. An old friend of mine in highschool just about hit a median with his rav4 thinking like that.
I wish I had a picture of this. But I remember one summers day I saw a yellow cavalier stuck in the fence on highway 16 on top of the hill by Meidl Honda. If anyone's from Saskatoon or has been to Saskatoon you'll know what I'm talking about. It was just like..... how the heck did you manage that?

I use the rain-x spray on all the windows and mirrors. I use the rain-x washer fluid as well. You don't have to reapply the spray as often. I wish it still came in the paste that lasted forever.
