fog light question

I have some aftermarket fog lights that are 55 watts. They have a relay connected to the battery. The question is can I connect them to my fog light switch without burning up any wires?

I connected my LED fogs (3200 lumens per assembly) to my foglight switch. No issues.

My Intrigue had aftermarket fogs hooked up to it when I bought it. Since it was a GX though they were hooked up to a kill switch on the center console cause it wasn't equipped with the factory fog light switch. I ended up replacing the fog lights and wiring before I got rid of it because there was a short somewhere and every time you would turn them on they would blow a fuse and the car would shut off. Had it happen once or twice while I was driving it and that was a fun time. Especially since the steering locked up when the fuse blew...

I learned real quick not to do that and ended up keeping extra fuses in the car just in case. Once I fixed it though I never had any issues with it again. That's just my experience with the aftermarket fogs lol, but if sleepy hasn't had any issues with his being hooked up then I would guess it would be alright to do so.
