additives
Anyone have any input on the best oil additives.. Someone mentioned Hy-Per Lube I have a buddy that uses lucas... any thoughts? My alero has 91,000

I have heard of sea foam but I thought that was just a fuel injector and throttle body cleaner. They make oil additives too?

seafoam in general is used in all sorts of locations, same product

It cleans the motor. Do it 100 miles before an oil changem dont do any other oil additives imo.

I'm with you guys on this one, keep on top of the oil changes and stay away from the additives. You can do your own research when it comes to oil, some great info out there. We kinda started an oil/oil filter thread last week that you should read, good info there for everybody, especially the link to the oil testing.

I put some lucas in last oil change because I had it...While I had hoped it would be smoother operation I think if anything it might have been a little less, the only credit I would give it is there still might have been a little extra sludge buildup from before I owned it (most mileage was probably done above 90mph before I got it, and it was lucky to get 10k oil changes)
