Today, I vacuumed and cleaned out the car for the first time since I bought it. The previous owner left a TON of relays in the glove box. Possible previous electrical problems? Plan on conditioning the leather and looking into a non-working driver window tomorrow.

Installed a new window regulator, glued some brackets back together (on the door panel) as they seem to be getting a bit brittle.

I went to the junkyard to get a replacement passenger airbag cover. They wouldn't sell just the cover so I had to buy the whole airbag for $50. Better than the stealership they could get one for $720!!!!!!! I swapped out the cover today as well, was an easy job.

Yesterday I repaired a brake line and glued the headliner back up. Today I put new swaybar ends on the front.

Nothing at 168k. Cv axles need to be replaced after I flat spotted all 4 tires cuz I didn't fixed the abs wire. Details when I get at a computer.
Motor still great getting 22-24 mpg. My scan gage always say 27 at 75-80 mpg. Leaks oil somewhere and burns oil. Coolant leak at the water inlet. But it took me on a 800 mile road trip and was perfect.

That's nice I miss my double din in my alero. The G8 GT has the climate controls built into the radio so replacing it would cost over $500 in parts alone..

Few days ago...Took out the seats and center console, cleaned the stains in the carpet. Also Cleaned all the door panels and trim panels. Took care of the leather so its not so dry. I got my aftermarket speakers in there. Polk audio in the front and rockfordfosgate in the back.

I took out my seats last night... I was going to take the console out too but was too lazy so I'm working around it haha also started to redo all my wiring as it's a mess...this could take longer than anticipated as i probably should just restart it all lol

New Battery
Replaced the battery in my Alero with an Everstart Maxx. Consumer Reports rated it a best buy for the group number. I was hesitant purchasing such a critical piece of equipment from Walmart but I have seen them consistently over the years rated very high.
89 dollars - 5 year warranty

Not so much today but last Sunday. Broke it out of hibernation, charged the battery (factory installed still going) changed oil, checked all fluids, complete safety check. While it was up in the air, cleaned the under carriage and engine bay of cobwebs/dirt. Touched up any undercarriage pieces that were developing rust? It's never seen snow/salt in it's lifetime so don't know why it's doing that.
Car was covered so no dirt, but used detailer with wax in it on the paint and polished wheels.

I drove it around as it hasn't been driven in 2 weeks. I realized just how slow it is compared to my G8...

I drove my Alero for the first time since early last winter. Started up and drive just fine. I think leaving it on the battery tender helped a ton.
