If you are truly interested in a 5 speed eco, then I can send you a link if one turns up in your area before too long, it has been two weeks since i went through every craigslist page in the continental us, prolly about time to do it again

The idea is there, I'm serious, but I'm also broke and working odd jobs to pay bills off. Financially, I'm not ready... BUT I am willing to wait, because I want an Eco with less than 100K. 120K max, but no more. Hard to find yes? Possible? Of course?
So to conclude, I do want it, but this may be a January 2015 type thing.... unless a deal comes out of nowhere, then I'll get a personal loan or something. I'm willing to travel btw, but I'm thinking along the lines of between NY and SC.
How do you find these links nationwide though? It seems like a real hassle to go through each area on CL.

That is exactly what i do and it is a PITA but when i end up with the right 5 speed it will be worth it...my current top contender is a black 03 coupe with power windows and sunroof running 86k miles for 3k

Ya I can't wait to get back to modding the alero. I just bought a tig welder and its going to be at the house Friday then I can start leading how to weld which should make putting in this turbo a lot cheaper.

Small update
Well small update the 3 inch down pipe came in today I also tried getting the alero to turn over and ended up blowing a fuse and lost all power to everything so im just going to push it into the garage and start the tear down process.

Good luck fitting that downpipe with the 4-bolt to v-band adapter in the engine bay.
Also whyyyyy is your head and Cometic gasket sitting there like that, prone to being scratched up or otherwise damaged and get debris in the layers of the gasket? Aghhh..
When you install, remember this: - Head and block perfectly flat, shiny.
- Copper spray the outside of the gasket (both head side and block side)
- Torque to 88 ft-lb in THREE equal steps.

Ya my bad on the head i didnt think of small scratches laying it down like that and how much clearance do i need on the hot side the adapter is 3inch wide and i got the low profile 90 on the down pipe hoping it would be enough

It is tight, that's all I know. My downpipe does this and it's quite snug.

Hmm ya that's probably not going to fit I guess I'll have to chop off the vband parts and just bolt it to the turbo and bend it in more

Of course i want a pretty one lol but on another note i ran into a slight issue got the manifold in and the turbo doesnt fit i tried clocking the cold side and not matter what it bangs into the cam tower. So ive decided to have some fun and test my fab skills and mount the turbo in a different location now im just going threw ideas now so nobody be to harsh but i think im might stick it over on the passenger side like this
The last pic is how im thinking of routing the pipe i can fit 2 1/2 inch feeding the turbo and 3 inch dp to the rest of the exhaust and theirs enough clearance to rap up the pipes so i dont go melting a bunch of stuff
