Got my factory key blanks in today. Got them cut for free! just a nice little thing to have after some crappy giant thing. much more proper for the car and one of those little things that was just bugging the crap out of me.

Got my tyres ordered last week, and got them installed on monday. Nitto NT450s, look real nice on the car (nice tread depth too, however they like to sling those rocks...), now I'm trying to figure out the warranty papers >.< 45,000 mile treadwear warranty is no good without the papers filled out -_-

Lol I beat a 90 v8 camaro (unknown mods), 03ish boosted audi TT (mods unknown), and a "built" as they said late 90's integra.

Lets just say they didnt expect my car to be that fast haha. then some people joked to them saying "you got beat by an alero!"


I just like being unexpectedly fast to a good majority of cars out there because no one here sees aleros modded. Im the only one who has a nice modded alero at the "drive ins" others are just stock beaters basically. But usually im the only one of my kind. Which is nice. I like being different.

^Gotta agree with you as far as having a modded Alero. Well lately, I have not really done much with it. New fuel pump on Friday, and a quart of oil woo hoo. Also, when I was thinking of getting new subs, my alternator messed up, so I had it rebuilt. I also got a trunk mount bike rack for it to carry my wife's and my bike on it. Hopefully on Tuesday, I will wash the Alero, and on Wednesday, I'll take it to Falcon Lake.

same here people don't see the alero going to be that fast. Everyone at the meet ups at sonic around here are like i've never seen a alero modded like that.

Hell even a stock alero is honestly not that bad. It can keep up with most new modern ecobox's like focus's or cruze's which surprises a lot of people because they think if its not new its a slow piece of junk.

Let me just say I had a roostery 2012 v6 camaro at a red light one night wanting to go. Well lets just say my 3500$ alero (not including mods) ate that 25k camaro.... he was very shocked. Hahaha


But anyway... I seafoamed my car today and then changed the oil because of the seafoam. Its been about 80k miles since the last cleaning.

Just replaced the battery. This time I got a Group 75DT battery, with the DT being "dual terminal". It fits perfectly fine as there is not a clearance problem with the top posts. I did this because at some point I might replace the battery cables with slightly longer top post versions.

On Friday I broke down. I thought the cat had finally clogged up (its been running low catalyst efficiency for a while). Get it towed to the shop, a foot of new pipe and a code eliminator for it later the car still didnt run and my fears came true. So a new fuel pump/filter later its back on the road running better than ever, and it wasnt running bad before. I have to do something about the exhaust though, it sounds terrible, the worst tin can rice rocket sounding thing iv'e ever heard.
2.2 people, factor exhaust minus the cat SOUNDS TERRIBLE.
I cant do my full build like I wanted right now due to the fuel pump issue. for now I'm thinking cut the resonator (its shot as well) and a proper muffler piped for quad tips. I've checked out countless videos of everything I can find with the 2.2 and magnaflow is at the top of the list. but due to the price and that its temporary I'm considering this http://www.ebay.com/itm/260941524042... 4.m1423.l2649
I know, I know. but its cheap, will make piping much easier off the factory exhaust due to its size, and is light weight. I dont know how legit the "aggressive race sound" is, im assuming not much but it would get the job done for now. Thoughts?
Also- I removed the heat shield because all its mounts were shot but one and it was rattling around sounding terrible. to me it looks like theres enough space there for airflow and no melting on the tank or anything that I can see thus far. has anyone else ran without it? do I need to fix and reinstall asap or am I ok?

Finally got a headunit and installed my amp as well. kenwood exlon headunit, 4 channel kenwood performance series ready for the front speakers when I get them. Powering the alpine type r 6X9s right now. So nice nice to have good ipod connect and good sound again!

Re-inspect. Failed inspection for ps front tire and ds outer tie rod end. Passed re inspection
