It's just an expression. I don't smoke either.
But I know what jobs I can do and what's over my head.......changing the front swaybar involves dropping the front subframe, and that is over my head.

there are very few mechanics that i would allow to touch my vehicle...the last time i had a vehicle in the shop it was to put a new clutch in my truck and it took them three times to do it right

If the front is too much of a PITA, then I'll probably install the rear myself and get the front done when I get my H&Rs on.

I know what he meant. I think he thought I meant to say Puta, because he may not have known about the acronym PITA lol.

Email from Brian @ PFYC today:
Matt, we've got the information and are still evaluating what to do with it.
If we do decide to take a shot at doing another run, we would end up needing a 50% deposit on at least 20 bars (or sets - we could do front only, rear only, or both but it would have to be 20 of each bar) to get it going. Do you think this is even a possibility from what you've seen?
I'll let you know when I know more.
And my response:
Brian:
I'm fairly confident that we could get together orders for 20 rear bars; especially if we advertise on other message boards. 20 front bars may be a bit of a stretch, but we'll see.
On the Alero message board alone, we have nearly a dozen people who would want in. Some have even suggested buying multiple bars to ensure that we meet a minimum order requirement, so there is a degree of committment here.

I hope you guys can pull this off. Bars are a sweet upgrade, and I agree, installing them is no fun at all. Having to remove the torque mount at the back of the enging is a dam mess. Then, if you have headers, you are really up shits creek as you will have to remove the rear one to gain access to the bolt that goes through the torque mount. I spent 3 seventeen hour days installing full suspension kits on both my 2000 and my 99.... never again.... lol
Here is a pic taken close to the end of day two.... Im on the left, my brother-in-law on the right. Don't we look happy? Im working at taking the stub shaft apart in this one

Matt, thank you so much for spearheading this... I truly hope we can get enough people together for this buy, and I really hope that we can get 20 commited for at least one type of bar this round... If we can get one group buy to work now, maybe next winter we could work on another one to get the other bar done if it does not work this time around...
