Well i got one for you. Ok just put mine in as well. I when i turn it on and start to drive it stays in Frist gear. Wired up like Oldsman did I might tak it out and do it like 01WhiteOSV did.
|
sounds like it is wired up wrong.
don't go by the wire color at the plug but the pin location. this is what is important.
i would double check the pins, the wire color to the right pin.
also did you disconnect battery for 20-30 minutes before you tried it?

I just bought one. Not in my possession yet...just doing some research.
Is the tranny plug the one almost directly behind the driver side high-beam light? If so, this shouldn't be so hard to splice it up.
Mounting will be my issue. I don't know where this grommet/hole in the firewall is...

no not really.
it is by the radiator hose on the driver side. find where the hose meets the rad then follow it back and you should see this.........

has anyone else experienced a trac off, SVS light, and ABS light from the shift kit? the new tranny i put in hates my shift kit. apparently there is a tech bulletin about the solenoid that controls line pressure in the 2000-2003 aleros, all automatic trannies. i can't drive with mine on anymore.

the hole you want to use is the main wire grommet on the firewall. it's on the driver's side on the firewall. use a coat hanger to bull the wire through from the cabin side. this will keep all the electronics on the inside of the car, and the wiring in the engine bay. let me know if you need more help.
