I was thinking of trying to find an "outdoor" kinda place, maybe some kinda rec area or a lake or something, want some good background for photos. If anyone has an idea let me know. Like I said I'm new and not familiar with this area. Or we could all meet at my house , but don't really have much room for parking unless we all park on the street.

Sounds cool, depending on where it is. I live in Roma, which is a part of the Rio Grande Valley.

So the wife says no to meeting at my place, so I was thinking maybe if someone knew Austin or somewhere nearby there we could do something out there, maybe a park we can do a bbq at or something. If we need to plan for a later date, just let me know. I can try to arange something I guess.

BLORA is really cool... it's around killeen, but they have tons of BBQ pavilions right on the lake... it's awesome.

Once we settle on a place I can start my logistical planning. That will affect a lot of whether or not I can make it. If my gf is off that weekend then it's a for sure go. If she isn't....well, we're about to separate for five months of different army training so time with her is a priority. Oh damn...need to check my shedule as well. I'm not too familiar with TX other than El Paso and San Antonio.

Well, If anyone wants to spit out some ideas I'm all for it, the wife and I are going to go looking at replacing the stratus saturday morning, but other than that I'm good. I don't know what my secedual looks like after this weekend, I start working mid shift on thursday next week, then its going to be 5 and 2 or 6 and 3. either way, it will be a bit harder for me to get anything planned.
