Dude...
Only way it can look good is covered in carpet or fiberglass. Its wood and ply wood...
And DONT USE THAT STUPID PLASTIC PAINT ON YOUR INTERIOR. That stuff is absolute CRAP.

If you do make it out of wood, you would HAVE TO upholster it (and maybe the center console too). Upholstering them, will make the center consoles look more like one piece rather than the stock console and a seperate box in the back. As for speakers, I wouldnt go for treble, because the location may hurt your sound stage. Go for small sub or subs if they fit. Maybe an 8 incher. I have heard some nice sounding 8s. Only prob is you cant expect too much power from them. Disconnect the rear 6x9s. Doing this should give you a decent sound stage as opposed to putting subs in the middle and treble speakers in the back. And I guess that's all the advice I can give. Good luck on your project.

after i shape the 4x4s to look like round sides with rounded tops similar to how the console ends naturally i think you all will me suprized, give me time, i work 6 days aweek plus school, and any real money is being save for tires, and then a brake job, so im gonna toy with this project for a while, will the magnets be ok?

Depends.
If the magnents have a hole in the back of them, then no. They need clearance. Thats the pole piece.

^agreed that i'd use this as a sub box. extra speakers without a deck capable of more channels is a bad idea imo

not only that it would hit alot harder feeling since it will be in the dead center of the car, and not to mention a great way to make people in the backseat shut up lol

^even better, instead of the amp under a secret door, get a cool looking one and put it under plexi. the only other thing bout that design wud be to make sure to use a full speaker grill. it wud look kinda cool tho done like that.

yeah i think that would be the only way to go...
and yes under plexi with some leds would be pretty cool.
i think a carpeted match to the interior this idea may not be as dumb as originaly thought it just needs major changes lol

yea it might not be too bad. but i'de get some vinyl the same color as the dash and center console and wrap it in that. it would be a more stock look.

as long as the speaker is a good sub and use the plexi idea that may very well work better than we all expected
