chris it doesnt matter what color you go with a complete color change is going to cost you thousands of dollars to have it done right, when its done right you should see just a shell all parts come off the car, no paint lines no flaking, nothing should happen when its done right
using a candy color is going to cost you more money why??? well candy is applied like this, a black, gold, silver or white base is applied, then the candy is applied over the base then the clear, ppg or house of color is the most commonly used for candy
so using a factory colorits still going to cost the same, but if you want a blue vw has a real bright blue, so do some other import companies i just cant remeber right now
sherwin williams has a custom line that is cheaper then the rest and its base coat clear coat, trust me when i say sherwin williams came along way and i highly recomend sherwin williams products if your on a budget
for what you want, and this is me i would fix the rust but i wouldnt warranty it no shop would remove all the parts fix the body kit remount it probably 4-5k (aleromod discount)
i would have it done in a month let me know

Honda's do have their place I have to admit... In my back yard cutting my grass for one!... lol
I hope you are getting the humor in this though man, this is a GM site, going to be hard to find Honda love around here I would think. Let me guess, Skunk fan are you? I have been in the middle of this one for years now with my group of buddies. My very good friends are all over the map man. Josh the Ford Freak, Dave the Mitsu guy, Nick the Honda lover, and Rick the Chrysler man. We have been taking shots at each other for 15 years now over our rides man. I have been a Grand Am driver since 1989 and the 99 I bought last year makes #9 for me. They think Im totally insane... hahahaha
And sorry for the hijack guys.. oops...

Though everything I have said was the truth I would much rather have a fast alero than a honda however for price nothing beats a honda for reliability or price to power.

I am partial to candy apple red myself. What about a 2 color combination?

I wouldn't stray too far away from the red the car is originally... candy red would look good. It would just bother me that not every square inch of the car is the same color... unless you had the whole car dismantled.
