all of the above. bjs and richies were 3.4, ecotec prolly has the most premade aftermarket, and the 2.4 is a very capable engine as well. the z24 i did was a 2.4 obviously

I ran up to 17 lbs due to a crappy boost controller. Most of the time it fluctuated around 11-14.
I plan on putting an exhaust cutout in so I run open downpipe at the track, and most likely will be tuning the car and setting the boost at either 12 or 13 psi. I'm working on a system to eliminate boost spikes, so I should have a pretty flat boost curve, which is safe and easy to tune.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you tune at WOT, you should be fine all the way through the curve?

Umm................. not sure what you're saying. With an automatic, between shifts, boost jumps because the engine is unloaded and the wastegate can't slow down the turbo fast enough to deal with it. Boost drops off really quick back down to where it should be, but the spike between shifts is dangerous. Boost is always changing depending on throttle position and gear and all that. You don't just tune for 100% throttle. I tune for everything.
The fueling tables are done by MAP vs. RPM. So at 4000 RPM with 190 kPa there's a certain fueling percentage. And 4000 with 150 kPa there's a fueling percentage. If the boost is bouncing all over the place and not staying smooth it will cause you to get bad data and then alter the fueling percentages incorrectly.

I just remmeber BJ saying something about tuning at WOT and being good throughout. Oh well. Good to know Chris. You really do have a ridiculous amount of knowledge, and are a true asset to this site, eff the haters.

Why hate on HONDAs . I like all cars that are done right. Yes there is bunch of ricers and people that think they have the fastest and think they get faster by how loud their exhaust is. All my friends are import guyz, hondas and DSM and they arent SLOW at all, and they still like the alero haha.
Oh and I can tell manwhore hasnt been on a real fast car.
