here is the plug and wires to hook up too.
notice the rotation of the plug and when you get the plug to this point you will be able to see the lettere on the plug by the wires

OK I found the plug OK and found the wires.
I saw 2 reds and 2 light blues One red with the black stripe and the light blue with the white stripe, the other two looked plain. Do these other two have stripes that I may not see.
Also, 3400 guys, have any body have any problems with location since it's right near the a rad hose and exhaust heat sheild?

I've never had a problem and it's been there well over a year. I put some wire loom around mine.

if you can't see the pin letters, then look at the rotation of the plug and then look at where the wires are.

Hooked it up last night and damn do I feel a differnce.
Plus at half throttle, I lit them up though an intersection. It had just got done raining but still
I don't get the hard thump in stage 2 shifting out of park into reverse but I feel it shifting, and I feel as though it's too hard of a shift. Plus chirping tires in a school zone, not good
Going to the track on Sunday, I think this thing will help a lot. If the weather holds true to the forcast, I'll run between 15.50 and 15.70 without the shift kit

Let me ask the benefits of going with a shiftplus kit over staying with what came with my car? also if im looking into heavier mods down the road, is it worth getting this kit?

this b&m is very wierd. it seems like either you dont feel it at all or sum ppl it hits real hard. i just finished installation today and i feel a bit of a differencve and its on stage 2 the connections are solid and it is working because. when i go from off posistion to stage 2 the lights dim abit so it is getting power. i dunno it works abit n ot as i thought tho.

when i first hooked mine up, the connection was there, but not great, and it shifted harder, but not as hard as oldsman said, then i fixed the connections to get a more solid connection, and it works alot better.

i hooked it up under the dash to the blue wire w/white line and red wire w/black line. solid connection how many other wires are those colours cuz i couldnt find any. and my lights dim slightly just cuz its drawing power i figure. i dont think its working as it should but now i dont have enough wire to run it to the tranny plug. guess ill hqave to make up an extension.

Old thread...yes, but here me out.
If you have the 3400 and you are able to connect this thing under the hood per oldsmans instructions, you must have incredible small hands.
I just hooked it up under the dash and I felt a little difference in setting 1 (though now I think it was all in my head) and no difference in setting to. Oh well, I guess I spliced the wrong wires. There is definitely no chirping, of any sorts with my setup. I think I'm gonna try again now.
edit> i cant even find any other wires of these colors, so i guess ill just sulk

I don't mean to make anybody feel dumb IF this is the case...BUT! For those who feel it in setting 1 but not in setting 2.......are you shutting the car off for about 10 seconds at least THEN flipping it to setting 2 THEN starting the car back up? If not, then there's your problem. You gotta switch the modes with the car OFF. Now over time for some reason, I was able to flip it on the fly but that was after about a year of having it on my alero...kinda weird but for those just installing them...you have to have the car off before you can switch settings.

also....maybe this was due to my 235/45/17 nitto nt-555 tires but I had a pretty damn fast n/a alero (the fastest lol) and I only chirped my tires a small handful of times even in race mode.....so don't expect to be able to every time by any means
