Only time I use my ebrake is if I'm working on the car and need it out of park and don't want it to move, or more frequently if I just passed a cop going a little too fast and need to slow down without tripping the brake lights and shouting LOOK AT ME I WAS SPEEDING!

This weekend man, I'm headin up to Banff and Calgary for a few socials - vacation and all - the next weekend it's out to Vancouver for some fishing. HOWEVER, monday to friday I'm in Lethbridge, in the garage basically from 9 until 9. Feel free... PM me and I'll give you directions. Update with pics is coming up soon.

Here's a few updates... the new floor measured up in the back...
...working on the material...
...top of the console at first... and progressing until it was finished...
The red/black break will be turning into a forward sweep of red and black on the rest of the console.

The steering wheel? It's already done... the steering wheel itself has something I designed and built - for reasons that are motivated by the loss of a close friend - it's removable.
The way it works, a 14mm nut on the face side of the steering wheel, attached through the wheel to the steering wheel column, needs a 1/4 turn to "crack it" then 1 1/2 turns to free the wheel, and it comes right off.
The wheel itself is a simple wheel... I'll get some pics of it tomorrow and throw them up here before I head out. And Sat, check PM's...

looks like you're having fun man. glad to see someone doing something different with their interior. this is pretty much the only topic i'm paying attention to on here right now. it's actually a post about an alero, and not stupid crap someone found in the news. thank you for the breathe of fresh air.

Hey, no worries - though there's a lot more to this forum than what I'm doing...
I'll say this though, this weekend is going to be a much needed relaxer... Banff and Calgary.
I managed to get a few things done before I left though - the kick panels will be ready for me on Wednseday. With that in mind, the two new speaker grills for the doors will be in on Friday - thus, the doors will be completely done on Friday afternoon.
As for the floor console, that one will be done mid week. More pics definately to follow when I get back at it on Monday.
When it comes to flatdecking the back part, the floor (the sheet of steel), is mounted, "painted" and insulated. Carpet will be put in soon, but come about Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll begin building up the back with the fiber board and panels. And with that, I'm on my way out the door.
Thanks to everyone for the support, and enjoy the weekend.

Anyone in either the Calgary/Lethbridge/Anywhere in Southern Alberta area, or Winnipeg, have any shops they would recommend looking at getting seats and harnesses from?

Ah yes... off to go pick up a few parts from the auto wreckers... then tonight, tonight I hope to finish the floor console - if not tonight, then tomorrow.
Managed to fix a bummed out wiper fluid pump. That was fun... none the less, pictures tonight.
