Man that video of the run makes look like he's absolutely crawling. Weird. I almost thought it was an 1/8 mile run.

Its was also his first time running the car! And the block, heads, and cam are all stock. Why break it the first time out exspecially when your not used to it yet?

Atleast we know what the stock 3400 can hold right now!

Agreed.

I did it on a peg leg too.

Slicks help a lot when you're actually making a lil power.

He would have to dyno it to tell us anything about the motor. A purpose built car won't need as much power to run those times. He left a lot on the table with this setup but it will make whatever else he does look even better once he dials in it and gets used to the car. I look foward to the results.

After watching the video again and again with something not rubbing me right. I've come to a conclusion. His wheelie bars are touching the ground. While the car is at rest, and while the car is moving. That setup wouldn't be legal in sanctioned events I'm assuming, even in FWD events if this is true that wheelie bar wheel IS touching the ground. While the car is still it has to be free-spinning. From everything I have ever known. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

3:6 WHEELIE BARS
All wheelie bars, regardless of class, must have non-metallic
wheels (i.e., rubber, plastic). Wheelie-bar wheels must turn freely
at starting line; any preload prohibited. Wheelie bars must be fixed.
Hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, etc. or any adjustment or
movement during run prohibited. Using wheelie-bar wheels as “fifth
wheel” sensing device prohibited.

the video to me shows them touching. Either way, they seem to be faaaaaaaaaaaar too close to the ground and actually seem to be supporting some of the weight of the rear.

Good call, man!! I see that now too. I didn't notice that before.

I didn't know the wheelie bar rules anyway. I haven't come to that part of drag racing......yet

bah I ran 15 and 18 psi with no breakage before. it was drastic altitude change that caused me to pop a slug.

That eBay turbo could produce that much pressure without blowing to bits? I'd get your hands on a Garrett soon if you plan on keeping the engine.

Do you not realize that the Alero and Grand Am is the same thing.
Though if we have a ricer section can he be the mod for it?
