New shift knob is installed. I need to snatch a little more material from work tomorrow that I used as a shim and lock tight it all down, but no more hitting my knee. I might also dechrome it. Time will tell on that.

I put a good wax job on last Sunday. My neck and shoulder still hurt from that. Aftering seeing the white spots on the hood and front bumper from all the stone chips I had my son get a total to repaint the hood and bumper. That will really freshen up the front end. My son is a licensed mechanic and can do a nice job with body work also. He is me plus, 30 years ago.So hopefully that will be done also....

I did that mod on my Grand Am. I thought it looked better that way.

You can't add normal LED bulbs on the brake lights. They have to have the proper resistance so they work like normal incandescent bulbs. The Impala LED is actually on a board and has the proper resistance. Cruise works and it won't trigger any crazy issue.

Man is that paint/body ever in good shape! I recently saw a rust free Alero driving around here and it was literally an old lady pulling out of the church parking lot, haha. This is def a project to watch, nice work!

Sounds like the car we just bought my wife. 1997 Plymouth Breeze. 75,000 miles. Retired couple getting rid of the second car. They dont drive it enough. Best part is we got it for $1500. That was the asking price and I happily paid it.

I bought a buffer/polisher and some Meguires Ultimate Compound and buffed some scratches off the trunk lid. I will do the whole car when it gets cooler and less humid.

Mirrors are installed. I need to wet sand them and buff in a couple days. I had to get them on, my passenger side mirror was hanging on by one of three studs. Front turn signals and load equalizers are installed also.

CAI installed tonight. The turn signal/running light I installed last night are the brightest I have seen. It was dark when I went to work and do they ever light it up.

I need to fabricate a support bracket yet. It is zip tied for know.

The mirrors are wet sanded and buffed. Not perfect, but a lot better. It is impossible to get the 10" buffer in some areas. I may try doing it by hand later. I also fabricated a mount bracket for the ait filter. I was not happy with it just hanging free and no support. Washed inside and out yesterday also. Now its raining so it just sits in the garage. The air filter made a nice sound increase when getting on the gas. My mileage is going down for sure. For just adding a $30 muffler and a $35 air filter I am very happy with the sound.

I am getting my wheels painted this weekend. The plasti dip is nice, but paint will be easier to clean. They will get gloss black with clear coat. The fender wells will also be painted at this time. That will be done with red.
