If this, I bet it's passlock. http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showt...light=passlock
Scroll down to Oldsman's post. It hadn't done it in a year for me, then hit me again a week ago.

when turning the key, it makes no noise, its not cranking over, but theres still power to everything(radio, windows, etc...). The guages havent been working lately and i think the 2 are linked, i have also lost the function of my key fob.

I think your battery has a low charge. Happened to me a few months back. Key FOB wouldn't work and I still had enough power to work the window. How long have you had the battery? I would check battery. just my 2 cents

Just got done eating at the oakmont plum service area on the pa turnpike. It's in vernoa pa about 2 miles east of Pittsburg yay I'm half way home now.
Making good time even though I got stuck in a 75 min traffic jam on the Ohio turnpike becuase a vibe rear ended a tractor trailer. Sad. somebody died in that accident airbags didn't deploy but the roof was opened like a sardeen can

Obviously Oldsnut is home.
Redog is half way home per his post.
CrazyTaxi is in northern illinios
One nut is at his destination in Illinois.
Strydr ( or however you spell it) just split from us so just a few hours from home.
Smurf & That01Olds are in Indiana, Smurf had Tranny problems but are on the road again.
mfuller is in northern illinios... so pretty close to his destination or there already.
Haven't heard from Will2K, Zol and/or Malibu. So we can't update. We will get settled in and get pics and information up.

17 hours later with 3 of those being at a random rest stop in Ohio (don't try and take six Five-Hour Energy's at once, you'll be in serious pain for hours ), I'm back...

Well before we finish getting unpacked and everything.
It was another successful ASS. We would like to thank everyone for coming out, it was a great time!!! A big thanks goes out to Scot's parents for the cook out, Ken & Andy for all their help and support.
We had a really good time and enjoyed ASS '10. We have a few new members that made it out and it was really great meeting you and we hope you will come back again. It was really great to see everyone. A special thanks to Smurf & his family who made a 780 mile trip to support the event, even with no Alero.
Ok... here is my mission...... I want to pass this on to everyone. We have been doing this show for 7 years now and just once I would love to see how many Alero's we can get, my goal is between 30-40. I think that would just be the highlight to the this community and to all those who you spend a great deal of time with it. So make plans now.... pass the word on, start saving.... and give suggestions on how we can get this done for 2011. Oldsman will post up the dates as soon as they are set in order to give everyone plenty of time to prepare.
We have a ton of members new and old that haven't been ever or in a while.... Please come out for 2011.
Thank you so much much to everyone!
