not totally your fault, but if you weren't following so closely to the vehicle in front of you it would not have happened. 1 car length per 10MPH gives you enough time to do whatever is necessary to avoid nearly any collision

just sayin

The car in front of me was cut off. I hit my brakes when I saw them hit theres. I didn't hit anyone, she hit me. It ws rush hour traffic, bumper to bumper no matter what. Plus who do you ever see on 96,696,75,275 leavin 8 car lengths between then flying at 80mph? none of this is my fault, so don't say it was "not totally" Did I recieve a ticket? no, so there.

just because you didn't get a ticket doesn't mean the crash was unavoidable. if you left enough room you wouldn't have had to SLAM the brakes, thus allowing the escort with shitty brakes behind you enough time to stop. why do you think so many accidents happen on the highways when people are flying up on peoples asses. you gotta be ready for anything, as my dad tells me. same one who came up with the 10mph per car length to have TOTAL control over any situation. no one does half that, including me, but it's a good guideline. my dad's been in 2 accidents in his entire life, and they were unavoidable. (black ice for one when he was 15, second he was stationary as another crashed into him) CDL for over 30 years. so i'm pretty sure he knows how to drive

i was just pointing out that everyone plays some percentage of fault in an accident

I was cruising at like 55 mph (under the speed limit) when all of a sudden the car in front of me (i don't tailgate thank you) was at like a complete stop. no matter what I had to slam my brake on. There was an accident on the shoulder next to me and cars in the other lane so I couldn't get out of the way and continue on. None of the 3 accidents I have been in have been my fault. I was rear ended by a motorcycle at a red light, t-boned by a drunk driver, and now this. I am a very safe driver. It was unavoidable, even the cop stated I did what I had to do.

More then likely its on with rivets. You have to drill them out, but becareful not to scratch the bumper like I did mine, lol It'll leave 4 holes, but they really aren't that noticable.

Sorry to thread jack.

yeah they are all on there with double sided tape. We were talking about drilling out the rivets that hold the front license plate on. It looks stupid, especially if the state you live in doesn't require it.

Aleros look nice without that huge plate on the front. I just first removed my plate then there were some "rivits" i guess and i just pulled them out, and out came the black plate. There will be 4 holes, i just coverd them with white electricity tape until my bodykit came in. But i got a bunch of tickets for it. So stupid
