ATF replacement

How am I supposed to get the transmission fluid back in?
The fill cap is close to something with a heat shield on it, and I don't see refilling it without some sort plastic filler tube getting melted. If it matters, yes V6 engine.

That's what long narrow funnels are made for.

It won't melt.

For as long as it should take you to place funnel, fill, remove funnel, no. But it also sounds like you could use a longer funnel...
