My new headunit just died after a month and a half of service and I was able to upgrade to this one. Figured I'd share to give an idea of what it'll look like.



Yes, it was a pain to get it in...had to re-route all wiring behind the actual cavity and in the upper right, I can't get the top latch to fully hook in...however it is unnoticeable since it is so close and so far, hasn't come apart farther. I'll eventually get it to fit fully. XD

Hey...I think that's the exact same one I want to put in. I am hoping I don't need to re-route anything

All you need is the double din dash kit, a wire harness and an antenna adapter(if you want radio). Lucky for you because you have a 99 alero you can get the cheaper wiring harness and keep your door chimes working. I have the JVC KD R820BT single DIN and I'm pretty happy with. From my experience JVC has been good.

that's good to know and makes me feel a buy better about it. I was actually going to try to order from Crutchfield and I'm pretty sure they send a wiring harness with your order as well as some other installation things.

will do. I was actually planning to try some kickers . I had a good experience with them in my last car, but that wont be any time soon.
