you should have heard the rattle that was making :| i thought i effin blew my sub!! i was trippin balls and i open the trunk every sounds good...so im scratching my head a lil thinkin WTF so i decide to rip apart the rear deck... nothing loose so bump some shit and it was hittin the fabric on the top so hard there was a rip in it haha so had to cut it open to see what had happened and got a good laugh so currently on fronts and got tweets in the back thats it thinkin about puttin 5 1/4 in the sides instead of the read deck not like i need them in the trunk to reflex the bass from them

so im thinking about 38x15x24 and its 5.95cf before bracing but im thinking im gonna use 1" with a 4x15 port still doin more measuring and math ill be on in a bit to let u know what i come up with

LOL this happend to my stock 6x9. i laughed and then smashed it in the driveway. i want to see how this 18 will fit in our cars. ill be upgrading my audio as well within the next month

If you are using 1" wood i'm coming up with a port length of 32 inches to achieve a 32Hz tuning. You're gonna have to make your port a bit skinnier in order to achieve the length to area ratio you want to get your tuning since 32 inches is gonna be impossible to get when the box is only 24 deep. Either way you are looking just over 4ft^3 after all displacement. This Torres calculator is about as good of a tool as you can get when building a box.



Edit: If you were to go with a port of 4H X 10W X 15L you will get 31.95Hz and 5.22ft^3 AFTER all displacement.

well im very happy today i went to rona and got the wood 1" sheet mdf = 69 bucks and another 50 bucks worth of shit..lucked right out and buddy cut all my cuts at the store for free!! and it all fits MINT!! but its to late and im to buzzed to start this tonight so ill charge up the digital camera and get a good rest for tomorrow!!! its gonna be SWEET!! Look for pics tomorrow!!

if your gonna build a box tho damn that pl premium ultra is effin awesome easy as eff to control and you can see as it starts to harden 3x faster dry 3x stronger bond damn!! and forgot say b4 those handles will have foam under them and taped down for no rattles but im so happy i put those on cause that effin thing is heavy!! id say easy 200lbs

Well it was a hellish tight fit had to sand down the front corners just to get the box in!! But holy shit!!! Soooo loud and clear!! Hits the low's amazing!!! I will get a vid up when I'm home!!! I am so happy just wish I made it 37" wide lol and 21" deep its a lil big!! You'll see
