Manwhore is spot on there. Guys have tested both GM and aftermarket all the way up to the LS platforms and the GM coils not only tested having more power, but longevity of said coils far surpasses that of the aftermarket ones. The GM ones are pricey, but they are the best. There has not been a 3400 built yet that would actually "require" an ignition upgrade that I've seen! Yes, the 3800's use the same coils and I have seen those make over 700 on GM coils. As well, kinda on topic, use the GM wires too! They have no problem supporting up to 500whp as well....
