Pinstripe Covering For Taillights - Page 15

I'm not really a big fan of the pinstriping for the taillights. I really do like the tailight covers, that Crazytaxi and Rowdygls have on their cars. Besides, doing pinstriping on a red alero with red lights, in the color red, really won't make any difference.

Those aren't covers Lisa. You can't find tail light covers for our cars. I think Crazy's are painted and Rowdy used vinyl or something..

Woott! finally got around to going to Pepboys and picking up 2 rolls of striping for 10$. I still have to do the outers but i think its looking sweet. i figured i'd shave the badges while i was at it so i did that too.

It wont look much different that youngbloods. but hey, whaddya guys think?

Well I really liked this mod, so I went out today and bought some 1/8" Black Pinnstriping for my tails. After 2hrs I got only 1 full tail done, and it is getting late, so I will finish it up tommorrow and post pics. I tried out the brake/ night lights, and it looks very sweet. I am impressed with this, and it only cost me some time and $20 for the pinstriping (4 rolls)

holy crap 20 bucks for 4 rolls of pin striping? mine was only like 2.49 a roll and i used 2 full rolls and had a little over 2 feet left over. took about 4 hours or so if i remember right.

Well here it was $4.90 /roll, I used 3 rolls, had some left on the open one, and I am taking back the unopened one. It looks great, i forgot to dump my camera, maybe tommorrow

that's 4.90 Canadian. I did my tails way back with the 1/4" chrome with 1/8"spacing. It looked good from a distance but looked kinda ghetto close up. I like the look of the 1/8" black on other cars, just not mine, cuz it's already black. The chrome looked like I was one of those guys that gets his graphics from the clearance bin at autozone, and I hate that.
Anyway, during the winter the salt ate the chrome and it started to wrinkle where it was run over the curve. I ended up taking it off to pass inspection anyway. Maryland automatically fails any vehicle with stickers obscuring any lens. I also realized that during the day, people could not see my turn signals.
