the best thing to do is heat up the gray putty with a heat gun and clamp the lens back on and continue to heat it. the more clamps the best. then let cool. check out the picture

Why would you do them separate ? It's much easier to do it in one shot. I have to go through the process again this time to actually remove the reflectors.

Ok, So I did this whole process yesterday and I got pretty good results. I also painted my bezels black. A couple things I would like to point out though:

1. Do the oven trick. Don't question it, just do it.

2. I figured cleaning off the bezel with alcohol after sanding (just like tinting tails) would be a good idea. Wrong. I got a weird bubbly pattern after I sprayed it. I sanded it down and its better now, but still looks odd. I had better luck with the other bezel. I sanded and painted without an alcohol wipe down, just a dry towel.

3. Rustoleum for plastic works great! No adhesion promoter needed, We will see down the road how well it really worked.

4. This is my main point!! The freezer trick did not work that well for me. I left it in there at first for 10 mins, then again for 20. It just would not come out that easily. Instead I popped it back in the oven for about 5 mins and ran a screwdriver down the groove and mostly all of it came out. It was kinda messy but it worked well.

^^^^^ Thanks for the tips! I'm hoping to tackle mine here soon as well. Hmm... I probably would have made the alcohol assumption for the bezels too.

Ok, so my gf has been inspired by all the crap I do to my car, and I will be clearing her G6's corners tomorrow, along with painting the bezels the body color. I was looking around on one of the G6 forums and some guy sprayed his corners with nightshades, which isn't a bad idea.

I guess if you want a somewhat different look, you can do that. It will still light up amber, but just not as bright im assuming. Legality issues maybe? IDK if the amber has to be fully/clearly visible?

Here's what they look like without flash:

And with flash:

Just thought I would share my research on the topic.

O come on just spend $5 on a tube. Your gonna be sorry if you don't. If your really penny pinching, they sell squeeze tubes of the stuff at your local home depot for $4.
