I just saw the post where you mentioned the shop class, as in high school shop? Man that could take all year to do that. If you really want this done, I would to a race fabrication type of shop. You know, somebody that builds race cars for a living.

and like he said, throwing it in there would throw everything off, after you add that the car would barely be a driveable car, well i mean you can drive it, but it would only be good for racing or a show car, has no practical purpose unless you plan on racing or doing shows hardcore, and like he said, it could take you a very long time to do it and i dont think a shop class would be able to handle it in any way, sorry man

it would take a while even if its a dedicated project from a professional shop
I'll easily have 1000+ hrs into my car when done
granted its not just an engine project.
building the car to handle that kind of power is not a fast task.
I've seen what having my car to 300 hp has done to things on the car
so I have an idea what needs to be done to handle the new goals.
if you are starting to build this much power for the first time, you are going to break all kinds of exotic parts.
not meaning to discourage but its not just as easy as bolting the motor in running some wires and callin it a day.
if you dont want this car to fall apart, you will have to do some serious work

ok for one, they have to northstars which are fwd in the aurora's and if i remember correctly even a caddy northstar would work, but you just have to get the fwd tranny to match, idk, if i were you i would go AWD, with a certain caddy engine, you know what im talking about john

like the old fart next door "just throw a 350 in it" his awnser to all questions to life, the 350, gods gift to man lol, anyways
did someone say shop class? i doubt your shop teacher has the know how to pull this off, engine transplants like this are about 100x more complicated than taken that 305 out of your monte for a 350 back in the day. and to top it off, the northstar and 4t80e are the most complicated setups in gm's lineup...
fyi, the aurora 4.0 "northstar" shares the same physical dimensions as the cadillac 4.6 northstar. its just de-bored, only difference (of course the heads are different, combustion chamber size...but you get the idea) the aurora is a 4.0 version of the "sls" motor
