You can by factory color matched paint in a can from mostly any car part store just check your paint number. As far as prep work a light scuff before you shoot some primer, a light sand on the primer, sray the paint id go with a first light coat then a secound thicker coat of paint and a coat or to of clear coat after the paints fully cured should be good.

There should be a thread in the "how to" section, but i'm too lazy to go looking at the moment, and yes, I was thinking of getting a bottle of factory paint for sterling silver and doing my vents and other interior pieces

Ok here is the deal. I am ready to paint these but I need to know the paint code and color name from my car. Were do I get this?

The auto parts store had some duplicolor paint that looks close but I need the name of the paint. It is a 2001 silver GLS coupe.

Thanks for the link but those paint chips suck. Is there some where on the car that lists the code then I can use the list to find the name.

Hey treefrogg, I just called up a local GM dealer and transferred to the parts place and then they just asked for the last 8 digits of my VIN and then they told me the paint code and color (512F - Auburn Night, thank you very much) so i'm sure if you call them and ask itwouldn't be a problem, and when I get kyles body kit thats what i'm gonn do buy a quart of that stuff and paint the sucker..hehehe
