All need to know is how many LEDs can i wire off of one wire striaght from the battery (fused). (All of the LEDs having resistors). kinda confused with the whole voltage and series parrallel wiring etc.

From researchin the internet i found that u can wire as many LEDs and u want in parrallel (all + together all - together, with resistors on each LED) as long as their the same wattage consumption. if anyone can confirm this or lemme know diffrently?

based on the basic led max which is 3v? I believe, you can wire 4 together in a series

thanks dude but what if u want to run more then 5 im talkin bout runnin like 30, thats where im confused i undertood running 4 but what about anything after 4

you can essentially run as many as you want off a single 12v line if they have resistors to them

he wants to know how many you can run in parallel, you can run as many as you want, the more you run the bigger the wire you will need, but led's dont pull hardly any current......
like they said you can bypass resistors pretty much all together by wiring 4 in series then wiring another 4 in parallel........
id stick with what ur doing and just throw them all in parallel.......

yeah, just solder the resistors on each, one wire to all the grounds, and one wire to all the hot's and your done. there isn't a limit unless your doing them in series w/o the resistor.

series parallel is the way to go. (Hybrid circuits are fun...but I don't wanna mess with them in my car)

What do i do if i have all the LEDs i want, but don't want to use any resistors at all with them? Can i hook 4 3V LEDs in series, and then hook these groups of 4 together in parallel? Also, i think they get dimmer the more you hook up don't they, because more of them draw more current and put more load on the circuit, or is that only if they have resistors on each one?

you'd have to connect the four hots and grounds together to get 12V lead, then connect each set of 4 to the power and ground. and they shouldn't get dimmer, regardless of how many you use. your battery is cranking out a TON more power then LED's could ever drain.

no you can them in series, the negative off one gets hooked up to the positive on the other, with four it will be able 2 handle 12 volts.......any more than four in series and the nominal voltage that set of leds needs goes up but ur battery is always putting out around 12 volts, never changes.......
thats why they dim, not enough voltage to the bulb or led......
and current isnt given to the led, current is what the led is pulling from the battery.........when putting led's in series the current is staying the same but the voltage is changing, when in parallel the current is changing not the voltage.......

like a monitor? well it depends on how big....im sure ud be fine with 16 or 18 gauge......

So if you put 2 led's together + with + - with - that means that they pull 6 Volts from the battery and will need resistors not to get the entire 12 volts (or BOOM). If you have 4 led's then your pulling and getting max voltage from the battery wich is 12 Volts. Is this correct...?

no croalero.......if u match + with + and - with - it will still only be able 2 handle 3 volts......if you do 4 led's...... + - + - + - + - and hook the end positive and negative to ur 12 volts and ground you will be good to go, no resistors needed.....
