Yeah, this is different than ours. I believe this falls right in line with the OSV Alero, Cali Edition Alero, SC/t Grand Am, etc. Just something that GM made, but never really produced.

275's would be good for drag racing
It's too bad that they never made that, but I guess GM figured not to get into the Sport compact market on time, just late like everything else

I dunno Redog, better late than never y'know? I really like the s/c'd Cobalt, and I'm hoping that it recieves a huge fanbase, enough to put GM in the running in that market.

The transmission is a New Venture Gear (NVG) transmission, not a Chevy Venture transmission

Where are you getting a 4 cyl. Altima with 240 HP? The 2.5 only has 175 HP.

Not to mention that car probably has 400+lbs on a Cobalt. The Altima is a very very nice car indeed, but it's also a lot more expensive and a lot more car than a Cobalt, nobody will he cross-shopping the two.

yea, i'm not sure the se-r is worth the upgrade, its a sweet lookin car, but it's basically 10hp, wheels, and suspension. i'd swap out the wheels and suspension anyway... and the 10 hp is just from a more free flowing exhaust.
i heard with the original altima they choked it up so it wouldnt take away from possible 350z sales.

the first altima in this gen was 240, then 245, then 250. its said that its the same engine, but it was underated to start with so it didn't shine on the maxima's parade. people with maxi's were getting mad because altimas smoke them, becuase they put down the same #'s, but lighter. they wanted to sue nissan for overrating the maxima, when all they were doing is underrating the altima. also making them "more powerful" ever year probably helps sales.
i want a 6 speed 2005 altima 3.5.......F'ing rock

wanna hear of a wierd five speed. I know of a 1988 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport VR wagon that has a 5 spd and ground effects. It's the coolest older wagon.

Heh.....
I've got 255s on my Alero, and 335s on the back of my Firebird. 275s are kinda skinny for a performance car.
PS: Nissan sucks. No one cares. :P

its got a 6 speed over a 5 speed manual in the se-r, geared much more aggressively, supposed to be quit a bit faster than a regular 3.5 manual. lighter and bigger wheels, different gfx, front bumper, better suspension, gauge pods like the 350z, 2 tone perferated seats, other interior improvements, "modded" headlights and taillights SE-R's are pretty nice cars. to bad you cant get navigation and a sunroof
oh, and you have 255's on your car? jesus! how'd you fit them? whats your wheel size, offset and all that other stuff? dropped car?
