I think it might matter where you live in PA. I suspect not the whole state is part of the rust belt. Not completely sure since I don't live there, but close enough to wonder about that.

Can't speak for the whole state of PA either but I can say that southwestern PA was definitely part of the rust belt. It was possible to daily drive your car thru the winter there and keep it from rusting away in 5-7 years but to do that required god-like determination and OCD level detail skill. Been many years since we have lived there but assume it is still the same?

Sad indeed. The end of an era right there for sure. Went thru the same thing with Three Rivers Stadium around 2000 or so. Lots of good memories....
