Window Regulator- rewind

Im on my second window regulator. The first one the cable broke the plastic. It also unwound inside the housing.

My second one now unwound in the housing.

Tpnight Im going to drill the rivets out, rewind it properly- then use bolts/nuts to hold it together. Reinstall and be done with it... for now.

Pics to come!

= FAIL.

Here I thought I would have this slick write up on this.

When the cable jumps the track on the drum these things are instantly junk.

Not only does it deform the cable, but it smashes the plastic drum.

Yeah the gagt's have the same problem. I was reading on there today and saw a few guys bought some from www.monsterautoparts.com and they haven't had a problem with them, yet.

I also tried rewinding a bad window regulator. Was unable to do go because the cable was kinked.
