power steering hose

basically the power steering hose is soaked all along the length of it (enough to drip fluid down one of the spark plug boots cuz its sittin on it) and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? how much would it be to replace the hose at a shop?

Wouldnt even go to the shop. Unless Im mistaken this is a really easy jb. Just uy a new hose (around $20 at the most). Or just take it out and check it to see if the o ring is bad?

is it the return or the pressure line?

See the clamped down bit on there. That is (most of the time) a pressurized hose. Which meens its the feed, not the return. Turn your car on and turn your steering wheel all the way to the right (or left) and go look. If it is spraying liquid then you need a new hose. If not then check your o-rings.

Mine is now also leaking from that location, just not nearly as bad. As in not bad enough to want to fix it yet (as in I see no leaks when I turn the steering wheel, but the leak evidence is there AND I had to add a tiny amount of fluid there for the firs time ever). I will be watching it to see if it's the crimped clamp at the end or the hose.
