Crank scraper question
This came up in another thread. Searched and found no thread about it.
I know what a crank scraper does, reducing drag on the crank by disturbing the mass of oil spinning around it. I also know it is only installed on one side.
Question being, is there any possible risk of any kind of oil starvation for the crank?

Can't say that I have.
I guess I could have worded that different. Would the crank scraper interfere with proper oiling of the crank?

I wouldn't think so. I've seen them in other engines.

The crank gets its oil to the journals through pressure from the oil pump. The oil thrown off the crank throws to cool the bottom of the piston/lube the pin is still going to be there, but some of the oil will be shed by the scraper. You will see more improvement from the scraper in racing applications and above 6000 RPM.

So it won't cause any kind of oil starvation?
Awesome. Wot-tech has 3x00 crank scrapers for a pretty good price.
