Doesnt look like a bad deal...you should definitely move up to the 3400..

I like the ecotec, but all these random parts are such a pain in the ass to mess with on it, I know there is some difficult stuff to get to on the 3400, however it is a more simple motor overall...The only way I will get another ecotec right now is if it is either a super good deal, or I find a 5 speed, otherwise I won't get another until on down the road if I decide to do a major build...The 3400 provides a platform good well into the 300's hp wise before needing a new lower end, and you can't say that for the eco and that is more than enough for a street car.

gm book says that they only made 300 before blowing the motor...they recommend lower end build in the 250-275 range

I saw a blue 2 door alero just like that in the local junkyard. It had the full Razzi kit and the Razzi wing. Guy wants $50 per bumper cover and $35 for the spoiler. If I had a regular alero they'd be mine..
Some pics
yes another car is sitting on top of it, this yard is an adventure!

At the vert least you should get the spoiler and sell it on here...it is the hard part to find for the razzi kit... it is also the expensive part anymore

It does look wide from that angle. It was boxed in by stacks of cars everywhere. I had to use speaker wire to tie up the muffler that was hanging down from the car above it. I did get it today, overall not bad. I got the spoiler and a front visor for my wife's 02 aurora for $30.
