Suddenly, no sound

Ok, I'm stumped. I was driving down the highway, listening to music when all of a sudden, the music stopped playing. I thought maybe the cable to my ipod was loose, but the radio and cd player do not output sound either. The head unit is still on and says it's playing music, but nothing comes out.

Here's my set up:
Alpine headunit
Front speakers are powered by the monsoon amp
Back speakers are amped separately
Amped subwoofer

Now, I've taken out my amps before and had just the front speakers working with no problem. Here's the weird part, my amps won't even turn on now. No sound from any speaker is coming out. I can hear the feedback noise I always hear whenever the head unit is on, but no sound.

I've checked all possible fuses, Checked the remote wire, unplugged and re plugged everything.

Am I missing something, or do I just need a new deck? Help please!

Yeah, I have a couple extra decks just lying around...

Anyway, It started working again today. I had the headunit off and had the defroster going, and I could hear the module in the C-pillar clicking or some electrical sound coming from it. I turned on the headunit and heard a pop from the subwoofer and everything was magically working properly again.

I have no idea what happened. Maybe the defrost module wasn't making a connection to the antenna.... who knows. boom boom boom
