i have hp tuners and her ses light was on and i pulled the log and there are tons of codes mostly to do with shorted wires and low power circuits. i was wondering if anyone can give me some insight on what might be causing all these.

Offhand, I would say that the [Unknown] codes are not causing the SES light. HP Tuners is not perfect, in that it records more codes than it needs to, or irrelevant codes. But sometimes it also can pick up more valid codes than some cheaper handheld scanners.
With the SES on, you might run it down to Autozone and have them scan it for a "second opinion." Or, of course, clear the SES and note how fast the codes come back while monitoring it on HP Tuners.
And then, sadly, sometimes the indicated code may be caused by another problem unrelated to the code, because the diagnostic system itself is not perfect.
