Engine burning oil?
Here's a weird phenomenon I have found in my car... I do an oil change and 2 months later the car is at the "min" level at the dipstick and requires half a quart of oil. I'm using Pennzoil Platinum oil right now. The last time the car did this was when I bought it. The owner had changed the oil before selling it to me and he claimed he used synthetic (he took it to jiffy lube). I'm not sure what's causing this but where should I start looking?
As far as I'm not concerned, I don't have a leak.

how manny kms? whats your driving style?
Its not uncommon when engines wear to have oil travel past valve seals/rings and get burned in normal combustion, you may see evidence of this at the tailpipe as residue on the back of your car or blue smoke...

mine almost always burnt a little. thats also probably because I beat the crap out of it when I drove. next oil change put a quart of the Lucas oil additive in. that will help.

i beat the crap out of mine. quite often. everyday it redlines and spins the tires. it doesn't burn a drop. look into that pcv valve behind the intake manifold
in my opinion, motor shouldnt burn oil. every oil change my car oil level stays the same.
