Anyone hear or use this company?
I will be looking to get a PCM tune done once I get my headers and exhaust on, so I have been looking for a local shop/person with experience to tune my car... I have the name and number of a guy in Kitchener, but that is over 3 hrs away... This place is around an hour away, but I do not know much about them, and his knowledge seems to be more with the 3800 vs the 3400...

Thoughts and comments are appreciated!
Thanks
Tim

I dont know about Overkill, but I have dealt with Bill in Kitchener. Overkill seems to be selling the PCM itself. Most likely they would be using DHP. Bill uses HP tuners for $200 or DHP for $100. For some reason when he tried DHP on my PCM it didn't work so I had to go with HPT. One thing you will like about Bill is that he'll sit with you in your car while he tunes your PCM until you are satisfied. Overkill's website doesnt seem to show a similar option that Bill offers. Also, if you do any other mods and need a retune, Bill charges $50 everytime afterwards.
Dealing with someone who ships you a PCM seems like a hassle because if they change something like the shift line pressure and your car shifts too uncomfortable for you then you have to send it back in for another tune. When someone actually sits there and tunes it for you, you can make more precise decisions on what you want. Just my 2 cents. 3 hours is a long drive, but he told me he's had people come pretty far out their way for his services.

Lol... shoulda shown up earlier to our meet in Toronto and you could have done it there!!! just kidding...
As for Overkill, this is what he wrote to me...
"Tunes are $150 for a flash tune off the website or in-person. I do in-car tuning for an extra $100, which for your mods I highly recommend; I'll sit in and drive your vehicle for up to 2 hours, I use a scantool and wideband O2 sensor to scan air/fuel ratio at the tailpipe and will make as many revisions as needed to optimize the tune for your specific vehicle.
Retunes down the road are $50 per flash tune or $50 per hour for in-car and include updating to my latest revision."
He is in Whitby, which is just about an hour from me, which is better for me to spend 2 hrs there, then driving to Kitchener for 2 hrs there...
I will probably ask him which scantool he is using, whether it is a DHP or HPT or what...
Thanks for the help guys, I will let you know what I find out
