New Exhaust for Alero

I did some searching and nothing I found was very specific to my question (of course I didn't look through all 20 pages). My question is, I was thinking about getting a new exhaust for my Alero and was curious what you guys would suggest. I have a 2001 3400 V6 and I would like to know what exhaust would sound the best on it. What I mean by "sound the best" is I want something that is throaty and noticeable but I dont want it to be so loud that you can hear me coming from 3 miles away...I know next to nothing about exhausts to any help is really appreciated.

Would duals sound better than a single? I dont have any mods at the moment so its just a stock engine.
