back speakers?
so i just put in my back speakers, and they only play really quiet, and if i change the volume they start to hiss. changing the volume dosent stop it, the only thing that does is shutting my car off. when i turn it back on they are working though. anyone know what may be going on?

Does your car have a stock amp?
How did you wire the new speakers? If it's has a stock amp witch wires did you use?
You're sure non of the wires are grounding out?
Do you have any other after market audio in the car?

Yes I wired them all up. So that why it was doing that. But I solved the problem by just using 2 wires instead.

Yep, use the green and blue wires, the wire with the black strip is - for both sides.

The monsoon speakers have separate wiring for the tweeter and the woofer, so you have low and high coming from the amp. If you use only 2 of them (either low or high) to power both tweeter and woofer then it will work but you wont get as much power. I modified my speakers to work well with the monsoon amp.

those are in the GLS models, correct? I saw where the GLS models have 8 speakers, and mine is a GLS.... I've never taken the speakers out in the back so I have no idea.

Yeah I guess we have 8. But the tweets are hidden in the 6x9s. I now know that.

Are there at least a dark pair and a light pair wires and you used the darker set?
Funny thing about the monsoon amp, it seems to have a crossover for the low end. It's not like sending a full signal is going to hurt a woofer or SQ.

no, they just had 2 of each, but still the same color. had to keep doing a different series of wire to see which sounded the best.
