Rearview Mirror Map lights

I cant seem to remove the Map lights located in the rear view mirror. Ive taken off my mirror, pulled to them with pliers, nothing. I cant get a grip of them, is there any trick to doing it? Am i not pulling hard enough? what? because im starting to scratch up my reflective inner lining. Im replacing them with Blue LED's, but cant even get them out, can someone help me out?

DUDE!!! ... There is little screwdriver slots in the lenses and they just pop right out. Not much force is needed and you definitely don't need to take the mirror off let alone disassemble it.

^ and I think hes talking about the bulbs...

If you can get a hold of them at the base with some needle nose pliers that's the best way to do it. Mine were frozen in place too. I broke one. lol.
