Ehhhhhh wouldnt say ANY.... even body shops half ass things (well, the people who do the work). Make sure its a good place....especially with this kit, cause your not getting another one if they eff it up Oh yea....and some shops dont wanna mess with stuff like that....or they will....and will charge out the ass for it to get fixed..... just message bdyman and ask him how much work is needed on the kit....then u could get an estimate on how much it would cost u Im not trying to discourage you from buying it but im just giving u a warning....its gonna cost some major coin! lol....

especially if you get an estimate for bdyman to do it.....
You have to remember that all the money that scott spent was to get it absolutely show finish. For a street car that is not necessary.
I got a shop here that quoted $400 for fit and prep for paint, and that included lengthening the original sideskirts...

Yea, your right...it was show quality work.... and yea, prob shouldnt spend that much on fixing it up perfect if its on a daily driver. Im curious, cause i might wanna get this in the future if you still have it (after i get a winter beater)....have you test fit the bumpers? how do they line up? Cause i could fix the kit myself and paint it....
Also, did you get the rocker covers lengthened? im guessing no since u said the shop said $400.. for fit prep and paint AND lengthening.... damn, that seems REALLY cheap.....wtf are the labor costs out there?

I haven't test fit them at all, don't want to take off my bumpers for nothings. $400 for fit (including lenthening and prep for paint). They do real quality work, not sure on the labor but they did mold the andys kit on my first alero as well as do the z3 fenders. Most recently they tooked this NSX that was wrapped around a pole 6 months ago and made it a widebody beauty......

and for the record......welcome to the site btw, im in nw indiana you need anything let me know
and scots car we sat there with detailed pics measured and measured i made it almost perfect to what gm did, if i did anyone other kit i do the best i can and give the quality bottom line and that costs money
for 400 bucks to fix the rocker moldings is not bad but to fit and prep paint that kit i highly doubt it that kit has allot of issues and 400 bucks will not fix the issues that it does have

Meaning, he spent a lot of money because it was a show quality finish. Now let's be realistic. You take pride in your work and it shows. You won't half ass it and just mount a bodykit with flaw in it like a bodyshop will. It really is unecessary for the amount of quality that you do to be applied to a street vehicle and I would say 99% of the members on here do not need (for street applications)/ or can't afford your quality of work, simply because of the man hours you put into each project.
Consequently that is also why I haven't pulled the trigger on the deck lid. I know it will be perfect, because that is the quality of your work, however I simply don't have the funds currently available to finish it.
I am very confident the $400 would look fine for a street car. Will it be up to your standards no, but for my car or most streeted aleros it would be fine. If I were to spend the amount of money that scott did my car would never be streeted again except for parades. It would be a trailer queen for sure.
