Auto-x again!
Latest auto-x was today; here are the indexed results:
http://www.ubcscc.com/events/2010/may2/I.TXT
I'm getting more and more comfortable with the car... gotta admit that I wish I had a lighter more balance car but the past 6 month autocrossing the Alero has been fun too.
Pics and possibly videos to follow.

we ran this weekend also, i dont understand the balanced car statement, my Alero rocks. i gave 2 guys a ride around the track today and both were astonished at the handling capabilities. one drives a highly modified crx and the other guy runs a modified gti.

64 front / 36 rear weight distribution and narrow track and long wheel base + fwd... let's not be illusioned, we drive cars that are designed for getting groceries

He doesn't have the benefit of a larger rear swaybar either. Combine that with some wider wheels with less positive offset to help out the track a bit, and get a performance alignment.
But nothing beats a good driver. Nice driving.

Those are the indexed results. 15th before indexing and 8th afterwords.
Jabartram, I realize you love your car and I respect that but lets be honest there are proper cars for racing and then there are cars that can be improved. I don't know what you have done on your car but I doubt you have a good weight distribution either.
I have had the chance to autocross a number of proper 50/50 rwd cars... they are harder to drive and not everyone can use their potential but they are the way to go if you are one of the more serious autocrossers.
This reminds me of the movie Love the beast (watch it if you haven't already) where Jeremy Clarkson says to Eric Bana: "All muscle cars are crap" haha
