The reviews are either:
a. fake
b. made by the absolute dumbest morons in the world

This "mod" is not even worth discussing as to why it is a bad idea... it's just pathetic. You don't want to provide incorrect information to any sensor. If you don't know how your car's electronics work, don't mess with them. Anyone whose ever looked at a car's tune would know shit doesn't work like that.

Don't waste your money.

I had one, but I got it on eBay for around $15. It really did nothing.

It's makes the PCM think the car's at WOT at 70% throttle or something. Any HP gains are the placbo effect

hok666 is an unknown quantity at this point
Could it make a difference down the road when the cable from the pedal to the throttle body slowly stretches out?

The cable is a physical means to open the throttle plate. if the cable stretches, the TPS mod is not going to increase the tension and open the plate faster. It takes the voltage from the TPS and when it hits a certain voltage, it boosts it to full reference voltage, aka 100% throttle. It does not open your throttle any faster. Unless you know what the computer does with that TPS reading, its a complete mystery if it does anything to the computer at all (in the case of 94=100, no).
