squeals and shakes...
two different problems here. first one:
serpt belt squeals specialy when wet. didnt know how old the belt was so i replaced it and checked the pully grooves for dirt. noise went away for about a month and now it sqeals all the time when slowing down. doesnt squeal at idle or under accel or when you tap the gas. coming to a stop or say going through a parking garage it will squeal. havnt looked into it much yet but i noticed the belt isnt 100% on the idler pully, kinda like the pully isnt lined up right. only about 2-3mm out of alignment. normal?
secound problem:
car shakes with engine speed. put the car in park on a incline with the engine running it will shake like a bastard. apply the e-brake and take it out of park vibe stops. come to a stop sign with the brakes applied it shakes like a bastard. load the engine to like 800rpms shake goes away. iv been told the ld9 is a pretty unbalanced engine but this seems a little extreme. any ideas?

theres a pic of my belt. it doesnt seem to be "unaligned" as much as i thought it was but if you look at the pulley.. its "stepped" towards the engine side of it. is my pulley that worn out or are they all like that?

Did you replace your belt with a OE replacement? If yes then you should get a goodyear belt. I put on on my car and the squeaking went away and has not come back.

The goodyear belt i got was only like $25 or so, and I think the OE replacement was like $15. I'd say it's worth it.

Use two people, somebody strong to hold the tensioner back and then slide the belt on.

Tensioner pulley is worn, it should be smooth across. This causes belts and bearings to run funny and make noises. Not sure if you can get just the pulley... Getting the belt on/off can be very scary unless you have the right tools to crank the tension out of the system. I ended-up buying a belt tool but I bet you can borrow/rent one at a bigger parts places (my son used to have his gf drive squealing car to parts place, they would install for free for her).
Vibration is most likely the motor mounts, replace or repair them. Usually you'll be able to see where the rubber is torn/rotten. Can cause tranny wear and/or broken exhaust parts, etc... Probably OK to wait for better weather since you know when/how it happens and can avoid such situations.

thanks for the info on the pulley, i found pulleys for like 20 bucks at places such as autozone. should i invest in a more expensive pulley or is it even possible to get a "cheap" pulley? ill also see about a better belt if i have the money

alright... i figured out what was causing the little birdy under the hood. yes the pully is worn but also the tensioner its self is messed up. i replaced the pully with a new one after class today and my teacher came over and imeaditly said "that pullys not straight" i was like i ordred a new tensioner with free pully for about $30 and also getting a new radiator cap as well. problem one solved.
