Help: Installing blower NOW

I think this is the only question I should have. As everything else has gone smooth. Turns out I lost the brake booster pipe that comes with the supercharger kit. If I just cut the factory one down and run 5" of vacuum line to the TB, will cause any future issues?

Considering that this pipe goes really near the engine, which gets REALLY hot in that area, I'd wonder if the pipe is not going to melt.

In theory it would work. Just need to find some tube that is solid enough not to bent under the pressure of the air and tight it really well. you dont want it coming off and losing brakes lol.

Thinking about it, since I changed the TB on my set up, I had to do something similar with the tube that was coming with the kit, but it was at an OK distance of the block itself.

Install went pretty smooth. Ran into an issue with flashing the pcm though. I had the VCI number from when we previously did my brothers car and it would load to the tech2 but woyld error out on the flash. Do VCI codes expire? Little disapointing cause I thought I'd be driving it tonight.

Got a new VCI number and it flashed with no issue, but holy crap does the 1-2 shift suck. It's like a sponge.

sound like the edit didnt firm up the 1-2 shift points ..at least needs to be +500 over stock.

The B&M kit doesn't even help at all. It's like the the TCM ignores it when at full throttle. If I'm not at full throttle it shifts nice and firm, but if I floor it there is noticeable lag between the 1-2 shift. Everything else is solid.

Ha should watch my dyno video with the supercharger and the car running hot and see my 1-2 shift. It was pathetic.

Not sure how the Tech 2 works or if you're able to view the shift properties tables and things like that and edit them.

Nope, the Tech 2 can't adjust things in the PCM. All it can do is do re-learns, change a limited amount "options" and write calibrations downloaded via SPS.
