I had a bit of a scare with the car today (8/12/09) -- I stupidly was trying to scan for a WOT run after a heat soak, and it went into some kind of fuel cutoff mode shifting out of first gear, the kind of thing that gets your attention real quick and forces you to lift your right foot. Hopefully it will run OK again tomorrow.
Anywho,
6/7/2009, Street Tuner Mayhem, Bandimere Speedway (alt. 5860 ft.) 60-70 deg F.
Racetronix in-tank pump, Aeromotive 13107 AFPR, 28 lb. injectors, Autolite 104's gapped to .040, full exhaust, air filter bypassed, 60-70 deg. F.
I misread the rules on this one, I thought that slicks were not allowed. So I picked up two Cutlass 15” alloy wheels and remounted my old BFG D.R.s (P225/50R15). Last year I wasn’t getting good traction with the D.R.s, so I figured I’d just run the 2.0 inch SC pulley, peaking out at about 10-11 psi boost. That should also keep the E.T just above 14.00 at 65 deg ambient temps. Using a 1.9 inch SC pulley would give me 13.8 to 13.99 E.Ts, good for bragging rights but probably less consistent traction. Besides, over 14.00 and I would not need my helmet or fire jacket.

Broke out by a bunch on this one, there was a cold front moving in, it seemed like the far end of the track was ten degrees colder than the starting line. But my reaction time was not too good, either, and the Subie in the other lane ran .001 over his dial, with a .050 R/T. Pretty impressive for manual shift. (Almost too impressive).
So the BFG drag radials stuck like glue, super consistent 60 ft times. Just got done in by poor reaction times.

Just to show what the similarly-equipped Subies and Evos run up here, check the dial-ins (and no, I'm not replacing my windshield any time soon, it's not in the budget
) :
