Headers

Okay, so my question is...
after reading on the internet it states that headers are not to be used on a catalyst car. Does this me that I would have to take off my high flow cat and also what about the O2 sensor after the cat? Or should I leave it on and disregard what I read? I was looking at the pace-setter headers, but want the OBX headers cause they are cheaper. Is there anything wrong with these?

the obx quality sucks. pacesetter is better. plus pacestter makes a header for our cars so you don't have to relocate the O2 bung.

I have been running a header for 4 or 5 years now with high flow cat. the only thing i noticed is O2 sensors don't last any longer than 2 years. not sure why but that is what i have experienced

Go with the pacesetter. Just hope they have the one piece with the O2 bung welded on in the right direction. On mine, it was on the far side, and the O2 wire was stretched across and actually melted and I had to get a new wire. Just hope it's facing the driver side. lol

you can get the headers and if you dont have a cat you can just buy an o2 simulator for the downstream sensor.

The thing is I already have a high-flow cat, that I really dont wanna take off. Also, I thought the o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold was on the passengers side?
I think that I will be getting the pacesetter headers after reading scots post. Would getting headers actually take away the rasp of the exhaust I have now? As of now I have a highflowe cat, no reso, and a magnaflow muffler. I love the sound of magnaflow because of the deep rumble but hate the rasp I got after removing the resonator.

replace the manifold with a header its welded right in front of the cat ur fine, as far as the rasp, get a reso man headers dont affect that

Kinda new at this but if I were to put a header on my 2.2...Would I have to do something with my catalytic converter?...Or can I leave it stock?
